Full of Miracles

Image
This week was literally full of miracles, but hardships as well. I really learned a lot this week. Not only from my companion but also friends, members and Other missionarys! Leadership Conference We had leadership Confernce this past week. It was my first one so it was really exciting. We focused a lot on the tools we have as missionarys to help people keep commitments (Chapter 11 of PMG). We all gave a run down of our goals and how we dod this past month in the zone. President Rhea afterwards gave a presentation on how we can stop using slang in the missionary work, and start respecting the missionarys and leaders in Argentina by calling them by their calling. Intercambios We had Intercambios this week with Elder Sousa and Skraba from the area Leones. They are both from Brazil. Elder Skraba: we lowkry had a hard time finding new people to teach. We contacted a lot of people but sadly nobody had intrest. Elder Skraba is a goat. He's very hardworking  Elder Sousa: My guy is a...

USA at War

Image
How are we all doing? I hope you are all happy. I hope you are all doing well! War is striking This week I figured out that we are at war. Every single day, every single person that we talked to mentioned war. We would be walking down the street and a dude living in the street would run up to us and start asking how the war is going. We would be in lessons and the people we would teach would say "Did you know the United States is at war".  We were really confused at first, just thinking that they were making jokes. Until one day, every single person we contacted mentioned it... so we went straight to the source to see if it was true... Meta AI! Meta AI opened our minds and told us what is going on.  Now the entire mission knows, and they are starting to Crack jokes like "you may not even finish your mission, you may get drafted before you go home.". I think I'll be fine, I'll get to finish my mission. God Bless America God Bless the War Church Miracle This...

We Need a New Sunday School Teacher

Image
How are we doing?? How is the weather where you live? Hows the family?  Those are all great questions... the real question is when are we going to get a new Sunday school teacher? Because he is not aceptable... Sunday School/Testimony Fiazco There's a member here named Carlos Silva, and his calling is the sunday school teacher. Now this guys classes are not spiritual at all. You guys are probly thinking that im over exaggerating... BUT IM NOT. I have not seen so many adults be mad. In the last class he made 2 moms cry. The craziest thing is that the members have been begging the stake president to change the teacher. I have no clue why he hasn't changed it. I got to experiment his class yesterday, and it was a rollercoaster. He loves getting really personal and tearing people apart. I don't know why but every class starts off with him yelling at people because they didnt read come, follow me. He really doesn't bring the spirit. Another thing he did was bear a very intr...

We Find and We Solve

How are we doing? Hows the family, How's life, and hows your Job? I hope you are doing well in every single one of those aspects. Exchange with the APs This week we had an exchange with the Aps. They drove 2 hours just to run an intercambio with us for 4 hours, then drive back. It was overall a great exchange. We worked really hard finding people who will progress! The craziest thing ever is that this exchange was the first one I have had my entire mission with the Aps... and I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. When we ended the exchange they drive is to our house. Oh My Gosh the Ap drives more Argentine then an Argentine. I could not dare keep my eyes open, it was a very scary expirience. Lowkey felt like my dad when one of his kids drives. (He trusts me ) Traped in our own house Elder Carter... happend to trap us in our house. Our house has 2 floors, and on the 2nd floor there's a bedroom and also a study. In the study the doorknob is broken... you c...

How are we doing? I hope you all are having an estatic start to your week! I know I am, because today is Pday!! Villa Nueva This week I got to start unlocking the secrets to Villa Nueva. Apprently a lot has happend here, there's a lot of lore. But first a little bit about this place! Villa Maria is whats known as a pueblito. Bue it's stacked full of people. The members here are Great, knowing that there is only 4 active ones, and the rest are inactive. We also share the chapel with Hermanas! In this area there are 22 Blue stars/Converts! (People Baptized within the last year) and approximately 2 are active... so you know what I will be focusing on in this area.  The missionarys here and the church get hated on a ton. I havent seen or heard more jokes about Mormons an any other part of Córdoba! We just learned that a long time ago, they had to take the missionarys out of the area, because the church was on the front page of the magazine, with the title "Mormon Apostasy...

Life is Good, and it Keeps Getting Better!

How are we all doing? I hope your having a great week. Today is transfers, so that is why I'm writing today! Transfers Transfers news came monday morning! Turns out im leaving Alta Córdoba and going to another pueblito! The pueblito called Villa Nueva is 3 hours away from Córdoba, my last area! This is probly the area that I die in. I also got called as a Zone leader, over 6 Elders and 10 Hermanas. We going to be working hard to help everyone out. My new companion is Elder Carter. The craziest part is, we were in the same district in the MTC. So I already know him very well. We got along well in the MTC, so I think we'll be just fine this transfer! Family Pais We saw the biggest miracle this past week! We were having trouble finding people, and we saw a lady through her window flag us over. We went to go talk to her and she instantly invited us in with her husband. They told us that they prayed to recieve help, and that we passed by thier house, and they knew it was the answe...

The Elder Moving Crew

Image
How are we doing? What is up? Its only been like 7 days since I sent the last email! Im going to be honest, this is going to be a short email, because nothing intresting happened. I also just finished my Hermana Mission! Moving Crew This week we got the opportunity to help a couple familys move houses. How Argentines move is one of the wackiest things I have ever seen. Lets just say we taught them the American way to move, and it made the work 2 times easier! What they do here is chuck everything out the Windows. Bags, boxes and even furniture. When we arrived we saw all of them pushing a 4 person couch put the window. Your probkably wondering how they managed to fit the couch, they completly detached the window. They unscrewed it, took it off the wall so that there's just a hole. The craziest part is you would hear randomly "UNO, DOS, TRES" then a couch or a mattress or a bed would come flying out the window. Dont worry, they had 3 guys waiting to catch it. Another dif...
