Merry Christmas Yall

Feliz navidad my ninjas.

This email will be a bit longer then the others because I didn't have a Pday on Monday. This week was very different from all my others. Not the work, but the companion.

First was Transfers. Transfers took place Tuesday of last week. Sadly Elder Maia had to go to another city called San Francisco. I got myself a Gringo. He is named Elder Miller. Even though he is technically my step-dad I am still a foot taller then him, And im 6'6. He was born in Utah but moved to Wisconsin, and has lived there his whole life. He said his favorite thing to do is watch sports, and listen to music. We have had some banger moments together.

Another fun thing that happened this week is the Christmas ward party. They call it, La Cena De Navidad. Elder Miller and I arrived early to help set up. Apparently they had set up a nativity presentation for the members and friends that were there. They brang out real sheep, chickens, and rabbits, to be apart of the nativity. Some kid sent the chickens free, and they all ran away. We didn't find a single one. The actors in the nativity were the kids in primary. After the nativity everybody made there way into the chapel to eat. Luckily for them the missionaries had a presentation. We danced to all I want for Christmas is you by Mariah Carey. Wish I had the video of us but sadly I don't. After the painful 4 minutes of people trying to watch missionaries dance, we finally ate food. It was chicken, and this time there was enough for everybody.

On Christmas eve we had an awesome dinner with the district president. We arrived and waited for Elder Ponce and Robinson, then the 2 Hermanas. We started the night with a message about the birth of christ. And the importance of it. Then we got started on the appetizers. It was a charcuterie board. It had a plethora of hams and cheeses even with some hard boiled eggs. After that happend we started on the Asado. They had cerdo, Chorizo, y vaca. There wad so much. I ate like it was Thanksgiving. After the food, they brang out games like Uno and Jenga. We attempted to play signs but it didn't work at all. During the games they brang out some cake and cookies. At this point it was 12 so we had to pack up and leave. Just before we left they brang us into the house and each of them handed us a present. I got a Cosquin guitar shirt. Definitely a goated Christmas.

Now it's time for the week

Tuesday: woke up at 5:00 to catch a bus to Córdoba Capital. Dropped off Maia, and picked up Elder Miller. I got to say hi to Cooper as well. After a long bus ride with my new comp back to Bialet Massé, we stopped by the store to buy some things for the week. There was literally no food in the house. We called our familys and slept for the rest of the day.

Wednesday: woke up ready to work with my new comp. He loves lessons and working with members. But he does not like contacting at all. Luckily for him I'm cracked at contacting. During lunch at a members house, we got a call from the mission president. It freaked us out, no one wants a random call from the mission president. He asked us where we were, and told us to send him our location. Rapidly we did, and waited for him to arrive. Turns out he had my 3 packages, and wanted to personally deliver them to me. I was pumped. He drove us home afterward.

Thursday: normal missionary work today. We focused more on the members and asking for references. Did not get a single one. When we got back to the house we made burritos. They were bomb. I ate 4 big ol burritos. Also made special sauce which made it so much better.

Friday: Cena De Navidad. It was a blast. You already got most of the details. But they had a whole room separate set aside with a bunch of food for the missionaries. We had our own little feast. Also knocking houses for 3 hours in the morning can get pretty boring. We found 3 potentials and so far they all don't want anything to do with us. We be on that investigator grind.

Saturday: Today we had a presidency meeting with all the presidency in the church district. We were told before hand that the missionaries purpose in that meeting is to Baja La Caña. We all told the people what they sucked at and what they were good at. Our DL Elder Ponce, went off on them for 45 minutes. He was talking about things they need to improve on, and what they need to change. That meeting kinda freaked them all out. They were so much more helpful throughout the week. It was un milagro. They got a lot more work done then they normally do.

Sunday: Church was only one hour, por cuenta de Navidad. Elder Ponce and I spent the whole time running around the church trying to figure out how we can drain the baptismal font. The switch to turn on the drain broken a week ago. We looked at the font and the water was literally brown. The wall of the font were dark brown. We took apart the switch to try and fix it. After a bit of trial and error, we found a way to drain the water. When we started ti drain it, the were that connects the switch to the drain was cut in 2. Turns out that it's a problem we can't fix. Other then that we spent the rest of the day contacting people.

Monday: felt wierd waking up on a Monday and don't get the opportunity to talk to your family or sleep. The president sent a text saying that Pday is being moved to Wednesday, on Christmas. So the DL hit us up for an intercambio. I stayed in Bialet with Elder Robinson, and Elder Miller went with Elder Ponce in Cosquin. We spent 6 hours door knocking. We found 9 new people to teach. And a few of them or really easy Baps. We ended the night off eating cookies at Fernando's house.

Tuesday: Today there was no work at all. They gave us an hour to buy groceries for the week. All the stores close down on Christmas which is our Pday. We got everything we need and worked for the other 2 hours in the morning. At night we had to be back at the house by 6. At 6 is when everybody starts chugging beers and eating Asados. We were not allowed to leave the house because of all the dangers of drunk people. While we were walking home every person had about 24-48 bottles of alcohol chillin on their porch. We also had to leave the house at 8 to walk to president's house, it was scary there were drunks everywhere. I wanted to punch a guy so badly. Sadly didn't get the opportunity. The Noche Buena dinner was amazing. But you already heard about that. I did not get a single wink of sleep. Our neighbors were drunk and were playing music loud enough for the whole town to hear. Through the whole night. 12-8. I am freaking tired. Maybe I will get to throw hands with someone.

Thanks for reading, if you made it through the email, good work. The mission president has made a rule that we are not allowed to leave our pensions for no reason at all today. So I am stuck inside all day. So don't be afraid to send an Email. It's so boring chilling in the pension with having nothing to do. Here's the email, Tiago.fuller@missionary.org. I hope all you guys have a very merry Christmas. And the best way to spread Christmas cheer, is singing loud for all to hear. Trademark Pending on that quote.
Peace ✌️
