Week 2 the MTC
This week flew by really fast. Everyday I am here it gets faster and faster. Still not used to getting up at 6:30 every morning, I'll get it eventually. This was our first real week with our actual schedule.
Tuesday was last Pday. We went to the temple and did baptisms for the dead in Spanish, Same with initiatories and confirmations. Definitely was a different experience with it in Spanish. After we sat in the celestial room for a bit to read the book of Mormon and think about our questions. The bus ride back was super long. If you have ever been to Mexico city then you know the traffic is worse then anywhere in the United States. Sadly on the way back we hit school traffic. Which means all the schools get out, and there's double the cars on the road. We lowkey just slept through the whole thing.
Wednesday was back to our normal schedule. For lunch we had tacos al pastor, and they were delicious. I had about 8 of them. I was the only one on the table who was eating them. In Spanish class we had an assistant teacher, his name was Hermano Ventura. He's super short and teaches Spanish super well.
Thursday was just like Wednesday. At this point in the week we developed an obsession with ultimate Frisbee. It's like the only thing we talk about. We play it every single day. It was also pizza day. We ate so much pizza.
Friday was a goated day. We played ultimate Frisbee, food was great, and I got a care package from my mother with a few treats. (Don't be afraid to send me packages with cool things and snacks!!!).
Saturday was sad. While I was showering memories started popping up in my mind about old familia reunions, and hang outs. The boys hyped me up and got me feeling better. Sadly, Saturday was also the last day hermano Ventura would help us with Spanish. But the hardest part was not eating any snacks after dinner, and before bed. We also had a helping others. Which is, me and my companion teach a 15 minute lesson. It had to be in Spanish. I lowkey Carried but it was definitely a different experience.
Sunday was a cool experience. I had never fasted for 24 hours. It was rough but I made it through and had a Killer dinner. Church was different with only about 20 people in the entre room. It was fast and testimony meeting, most people got up and said there testimony. There was a lot of spanglish. Later that night we had a devotional. It was the coolest thing ever. We watched a video about a talk that people can only see as a missionary. Definitely felt the spirit.
Monday was the exact Same as Wednesday nothing really happened. It will probably be like this for the next 2 weeks. But this week was much better than last week.
If you guys wanna send me a personal email, please do. My email is Tiago.fuller@missionary.org. Send me a separate email apart from this one so other people Don't get the email you send. Adios
