Off To the Field!
This week has been wild. Probly because I am sitting in the airport waiting for my 9 hour flight. knowing that I could be teaching people of Argentina the gospel in under 48 hours is crazy to think about. This week has gone by the fastest. I am finally starting to believe what my parents were meaning when they said that missions fly by. I felt like I got to the MTC yesterday. Lets get started.
Tuesday: Sadly it's my last Pday at the MTC. Like always on Pday we went to the temple. We had sealings on the schedule. I was a little freaked because I have never done them before. Don't worry is was family sealings. When we got in there I had no idea what to do. Luckily i went second, and it was pretty easy. After we had temple service, in the basement of the temple. We were helping fold laundry. Half the bus ride back was awesome, the other half really wasn't. What I mean, while we were driving back the bus driver forgot the the radio was on. The radio was playing a mixture of spanish songs and american songs that I have never heard before. It was cool hearing music other than church music. Eventually a song came on that I knew, and it happend to be one of the songs that I really like. It was All the Small thinks by the band Blink-182. I started singing, vibing to the music. The bus driver heard me and turned off the music. lets just say the missionaries were not the happiest.
Wednesday: I GOT A HAIRCUT. I didn't think it would look good because I have never seen myself in short hair, since end of Junior year in highschool. "Shout out to my barber dawg" She cut it super nice. I look freeesssshhhhh. Also i got my Kentama that I have been waiting for, for over 2 weeks. ive been practicing, lowkey cracked. We played full court basketball as well. they put me on a team with people from Canada. I stole some ankles and dunked a few times. Night spanish class was a little scary, Elder Carter got pulled out of class. The whole class was freaking out because we thought he was getting talked to about the Ayudame thing. He was in there for 45 mins, lukily he was just getting talked to about his wellbeing. We also played a little prank on Elder Walker, a guy in our house but not in our district. We had twinkies for dinner, we took as many as we could and stuck them all over his bed, making a little castle because he said he could eat more than 12 without throwing up.
It was funny when he found out, don't worry we got him new sheets. For the ghouse Devotional Elder Hales decided to eat 13 twinkies and try not to throw up. He made it and after number 13, He barfed everywhere. Nasty
Thursday: During class today Presdent Hymas showed up to our class door. He asked to see a few of us. He talked to us about the Twinkies that Elder Hales ate, and how theres rumors of roudiness and swearing in our household. Never heard swearing in the house, but when you put a bunch of 18 year olds in a house together, It dose not turn out well. The president just talked about that. It was freaky. The other thing that happend was at dinner we had these coconut popsickles. Me, Elder Hales, Adams, and Daines ate a total of 40 of the popsickles.
Friday: Today was Dia de los muertos. Sadly it didn't change our schedule at all. The only thing it changed was that there was Pan de Muerto at lunch and dinner. I don't mind Pan de Muerto. In class we had to take 3 tests. Spanish, Preach my Gospel, and the gospel. I had to take the spanish test and gospel test before I got to the MTC. My spanish test score went from a 4.5/10 to a 6/10. The Gospel test went from a 75% to a 94%. We making big steps people, Big steps. The preach my gospel test I got 100%, what can I say I passed that jhon. (if you know you know). For free time the whole district slept for 2 hours. when we woke up it felt like a hangover. If that what hangovers feel like.

Sunday: Last sundy at the MTC. It was a fast sunday so it felt longer than other sundays. luckily I had the power of the BBQ sauce in me, running threw my veins. I didn´t feel hungry at all. We had to pass the sacrement at church today, sadly i didn´t bless it, but I got to pass. We all decided to stand up and bear our testimony in spanish, really speacial moment. I really felt the spirit in that moment. We also had to sing a musical number, we decided on Peace in christ. We had Elder Hales on the piano and Hermana Thiriot on the violin. We didn´t sing that loud because we wanted it to mainly be the violin and piano. I caught a few people crying in the crowd. After we had a short meeting with the branch presidency. We took a few pictures and said our goodbyes. For dinner we had Costco chicken bakes with kit kat icecream bars. By this time the BBQ sauce power wore out and I was feeling the hunger. I dug in eating so much. They also had Horchata. Later that night we had our last sunday devo, and it was great one to end on. You guessed it, another video that you can only see in the MTC. It was a talk from Jeffery R Holland about our self conversion and importance of preach my gospel on the mission. When you here Jeffery R holland you know its about to be a banger. If your ever down, listen to a Jeffery R Holland talk. He is the person that gives you the motivation at 3am. He is the motivator of the church. He is my favorite. After the devo we spent the rest of the night packing and getting ready to leave Tuesday morning.
