Baptisms to Alcohol

WE LOVE SUPER SUPPORTIVE PARENTS!!!! Especially when they celebrate a Baptism by drinking and smoking there lives away. Your problably super confused. Well if you are all I can say is, WELCOME TO ARGENTINA!!!!!

So let's get in to the Baps and booze, shall we. It all started super well, we baptized our Friend Francisco. He is 10 years old, and really wants to be a light in other people's lifes. The crazy part is, he is already talking about when he will leave for his mission. The baptism went smoothly. I dunked him no problem. (Held him under a bit longer so that he can really get cleaned) His whole family showed up to watch him. In the end they were all crying, everyone of them. They went and threw a massive Asado by the river. Sadly we didn't get invited. Sunday roles around, and for some reason they didn't show up to church. We were a but confused, they said that they will go sí o sí. After church, we walked to the bus stop, on the way we saw them. THEY WERE IN A BAR, SMOKING, DRINKING, AND GETTING ABSOLUTELY LITTTTTT. They saw us pass by, and ran out to talk to us. They said that they couldnt make it to church, because there car broke down, and that they were celebratimg the bap. MAYBE IF YOU USED YOUR EYES, I gotta calm down a bit. Maybe if you used your eyes, you could see the church 1 block away from you. 🤦‍♂️. Turns out their car works just fine, and luckily Francisco wasn't there. The worst part is all the members saw them as they passed the bar.🙅🤦👣

The festival of Folklore started this week in Cosquin. Stages were built everywhere. On the streets, in fields, and Even one on a roof. They have a bunch of singers come in and just rotate stages. All throughout bialet massé, Santa Maria, and Cosquin. Sadly as missionaries we can't participate. Buuuttttttt, that doesn't stop me from buying banger food from random food trucks.🥩🌮🥖

Let's get into the week.

Monday: Woke up at 7 (I hate that rule) ate some breakfast and showered, just normal day things. And at 8:30 , fell right back asleep for about an hour and a half. After my wonderful nap, we took a trip north to Cosquin. We went shopping, played soccer, ate some Lomos. Our whole district was there. We has tickets to Córdoba for zone conference later that night. We basically ran a 3 companion Blitz for 20 minutes. We then hopped on a bus to Córdoba.

Tuesday: Today we had a Zone conference. It was a blast. We had banger lessons, a banger lunch, and banger missionarys. We had interviews with the mission president after. So we waited probly 3 hours just to talk to him. Lowkey the weirdest interview ever. I got in there, looked at me for 3 minutes in silence. Asked me one question, then showed me where the Buenos Aires temple was on Google maps. No clue why. He told me I would pass by it when I go home. That sentence freaked me out a bit. Just to seal the deal I said, Not for 2 years, right?? He looked at me, and said that's all Elder Fuller. I dipped from that joint.

Wednesday: I love working in 95 degree weather with 61% humidity. That sentence explains my whole day. It wasn't that bad, I pretty used to that kind of heat. Sadly my comp isn't. He is from Wisconsin and was literally dying. Felt bad for him, but we
trecked on. Other than that it was a normal day of work.

Thursday: Had a banger lunch at the Rengifos. Sadly it was Liver again, but they made it with so much rice, I could not even taste the liver. They put this banger salsa on it as well. After for desert they brang out desert. Canned peaches, they tasted exactly like the ones at grandma's and grandpa's. Later that day we stopped by Frsncisco to have his baptismal interview. When we got there it started pouring. They invited us into there house so that we wouldn't get wet. While we waited for the storm to stop. Karina was playing on YouTube, music videos of spanish. Sadly we can't dance or sing to those songs, so we sat there awkwardly watching them.

Friday: woke up to a thunderstorm. It went all day. Luckily I had an umbrella, and a coat. Still got soaked. There's no avoiding this rain. We passed by a RC named Daniel. He told us about a vision he saw one night. He said he saw the heavens open and angels round about blowing there trumpets. Then a figure in white floated down to him and said. Share the Gospel, share what you saw with others. Then they all disappeared. I'm gonna be honest, I have no clue what to think. I sat there nodded my head and said, that's super cool. Latervthat night we went to a game night at the church with the other missionarys. Nobody showed up, so it was just us playing the games.

Saturday: Baped Francisco today!! It was also still thunderstorming. That didn't stop us from getting soaked and dunking him. I got to be the one that dunked him, he wanted me too. There family was emotional. We got a text from Karina saying that she wants her while family to get baptized.

Sunday: Karina is just wonderful. We caught her lacking, literally caught her in 4K. Later that day we stopped by their house. I took the wheel of the lesson and straight up asked her if she wanted to get baptized. She said yes. I said, it's time to start the change. I then asked her boyfriend maxi if he wanted too. He straight up said no. Fetch, Karina is gonna be a super hard baptism.

This week had been pretty enjoyable. Turns out that transfers is next week. Really excited to see what happens. Next Pday is Sadly on Tuesday. Other then that, feel free to send me emails. My email is Tiago.fuller@missionary.org
And I finally have a haircut today. Vamos La MAC.
Peace out troopers
