It's SOOO Dang Hot!!!!
Another week in Santa Ana just got finished. This week felt faster then the last. Nothing really happened This week. The only thing that happend is the heat!
It's super hot here! When I got to Santa Ana, my first week was decently hot, every day consisting of 90-95 degrees. I made it threw that without a problem. Just when I thought it could get better, it got worse, way worse. This week was all in the 100's.
The worse so far, is yesterday. Yesterday it got up to 105°. Today it,s supposed to jump up to 109°. That's pretty hot! But what makes it worse is the humidity. The humidity here is on average 75%. Mixed with the 100 degree weather. Not fun times, let me tell you that. Everyday was a sweatfest.
Let's get into my week.
Monday: ZONE pday. It was pretty lit. The whole zone met up in Alta Gracia. We started off talking numbers, comparing months and that kind if stuff. After everybody went to the bank to take out money, so that we can all buy different foods and drinks for lunch. We decided on Choripan. While the Chorizo was cooking, we decided to play some soccer, and finally we played some basketball! It was really fun. After we ate Choripan and played uno. Other then that we went home and worked a normal day
Tuesday: We starting off strong with doing Contacts. We had a great schedule planned. We were gonna pass by a few friends, do a few contacts, put a few dates. But everything fell through and when that happens all you have is contacting. Luckily we had lunch with a member! They gave us this candy called Mantecol. It is super good, the bad thing is that it's really expensive here. Also my comp said he gave birth to a baby black godzilla.🤷🤦
Wednesday: went to district council, again we just talked numbers, and how we can get rid of the fear of talking. There's a few people who are nervous to talk, we arrive trying to change that so they can have confidence. After that we had lunch with another member. We worked at night and I put a baptismal date on Kevin. He's pretty chill, he just does not talk, he talks but he can't pronounce words. He is a stuttering machine. But he wants to enter the waters on February 16th. At the end of the say we got into a Bible bash with an old lady.
Thursday: Put a baptismal date on a guy named Gabriel. He was baptized as a baby and we told him he needs to get baptized again because baby are pure. He then said, "you guys can baptize me, but as limg as it's in a river. So I can get baptized like jesus". We were excited. So we are coordinating a baptism in a river!

Friday: started off the day by teaching Kevin about the restoration. After lunch (with a member) we went and bought almost 15$ worth of candy. It was a lot of candy, but we ate it all. We also ate dinner at a members house. She invited us over to teach her English, and eat pizza. The pizza was pretty good. Still worse then the pizza in America. The english lesson was a little rough, but we got through it.
Saturday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY REYN!!! Got the opportunity to call little sis, and chat it up for her birthday. For lunch, with a member we had ti walk through the rich part of Santa Ana. There are some really big houses here. Some of the houses look really cool and modern, but others looked like poop.

Sunday: we had 11 people promises to go to church today. Sadly only 2 of them made it. We were planning on passing by a bunch if houses. We only passed by one, because of Kevin. What I mean is we passed by Kevins house first. We waited 45 minutes for him to get ready. At the end of the 45 minutes he texted us he couldnt go because he had to take his mom to get groceries, so we pulled up 45 minutes late to church. Other then that it was just working.
Spiritual Thought
Matthew 22
37: Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind
38: This is the first and great commandment.
This reminds me of my favorite talk by Elder holland called The First Commandment, in the 2012 general conference. We need to put God first and love him with all our heart, soul, and mind.
We got absolutly no pictures this week. Feel free to send an Email,
Peace out my ninjas!
