BAPTISM!!!

What is up my ninjas! Another week down, this one felt like 1 day! If I'm gonna be honest we worked really hard. Even though the weather shot back up to 100° F🤦🏻, we got a baptism!

We finally dunked our boy Gabriel under the water. He wanted to be like Jesus, and get baped in a river. With 3 times the planning of a normal baptism, and a 45 minute drive, WE GOT IT DONE! Sadly I wasn't the one to dunk him, but I did confirm him a member. Here's the backstory on how they found him. One day at a bus stop Gabriel pulled up. The girl he was with said, ellos son mormones! As they slowly turned and looked at them, the girl asked, Porque ustedes no tienen sexo antes de casamiento? We answered her question and then asked if she wanted to learn more about the blessings that come when we obey the law of chastity. She said yes and gave us her number. Turns out the number and address she gave us was Gabriel's. So when we passed by later in the week it was Gabriel instead of her. To this day, she is no where to be seen.

Let's get into my week

Monday: We love Pdays in little pueblos, because there's nothing to do. Here's what a normal Pday looks like. Wake up at 7:00, lay in bed till 8:30, then take a fat nap. Your probly wondering why not just sleep in. Well,  we are obedient missionaries and pday doesn't start till 8:30. It's really weird, the system needs a change. Then after that you just Wash clothes, Eat food, and call family. And funny enough, all of that happend.

Tuesday: We decided to hit up Los Cedros. It's the 3rd Pueblo in my area, and it's a 15 minute bus ride. When we got there, we figured out we didn't have enough money on our bus card to get back, and you can't pay with cash to get on, only with a bus card. We ate lunch with a member there, then spent 1 hour and 30 minutes trying to find someone to give us a ride. We got lucky with some inactive member, and he recharged our card for us online. We also bought these red velvet cookies in this Tiny panaderia and my comp ate 21 of them, and I ate 13. Ain't no way I'm eating more then that, I totally could of. (He just ate them all)

Wednesday: Day was normal till we made it to night time. We stopped by the Andradas, a family of recent converts. None of them were home. We then got called by one of them. They told us to stop by there work, so we did. They work at a meat shop. Where they cook, cut, and make all the different types of meat. They invited us in and have us a tour. It smelt horrible from all the blood left over from the cuts, but very interesting. On the way home we saw 2 scorpions fighting. (That or mating I have no clue) luckily they weren't the poisonous ones, so we played around with them a bit.

Thursday: Normal missionary work. Saw some people playing basketball, asked to join them, sadly they said they were just packing up ( they were literally in the middle of the game) I told them if I lose you get this really nice book. And if I win you guys get to come to church with me. They said no and left. Very sad moment.

Friday: absolutly stuffed our faces at breakfast with Ravioli. For lunch a member Gave us ravioli, we ate it 2 times in a row. Other then that the heat was killing us, it made it up the the 100's again.

Saturday: Baptism of Gabriel, in the river

Sunday: passed by 5 houses to make sure our 10 fechas would go to church. Sadly none of them showed up. I confirmed Gabriel in sacrement meeting. Other then that nothing else really happened. We did find some more awesome people, but we also dropped a lot of people.

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT

Matthew 7: 3-5
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye

Repentence is important in this life. When we repent we cast the beam out of out eye, so that we can help others pull put the mote in there eye. So one day we can all live together in a perfect state of happiness with our familys forever.

Thanks everybody for reading, it was a very interesting week. I didn't send my email last time, and a few of you freaked out, so here it is.
