"Well...There Goes the Light!"

How are we doing this fine morning/evening? How was your week? I hope everything turned out ok, or went the way you wanted it to. This week was kinda crazy, but in a wierd way.

The homeless man
This week we found a man named Hector. We found him knocking on doors. It was awesome because he came up to us and started talking to us. He asked us if we were the people that had miniature baptism cards. "Yes!" We said, he then mentioned that he found it on the ground while he was walking, and when he picked it up he found a job 10 minutes after! We were stoked and getting absolutely hyped. We invited him to baptism right then, and he accepted a date for this 21st. All thanks to us repeatedly chucking cards, because it's fun!
We then figure out that he is homeless. That he doesn't live in one spot, that he lives all over Las Varillas. The worst part is, he doesn't even have a phone. We spent the entire week trying to contact this man. Sadly he wasnt found. On Friday, we found him walking in the street! He told us that just after he got done reading the BOM he found a firehydrant on the ground and sold it for 20 Lucas, and thanks to that he was able to buy himself some food. He then promised us he would go to church!
Sunday roles around, and he doesn't show up. We now have no clue what to do to find this man. But I know that God will help us find him again, his lost sheep.

Coolest Grandpa in Las Varillas
This week we also contacted Juan Carlos! He's an 85 year old man, who makes knifes. He also still works on a farm outside of Las Varillas. When we contacted him, he invited us in and started talking to us about his big tractors.
We have an amazing lesson with him about baptism, sadly he did not accept a baptismal date. When we were about to leave, he invited us into his knife shop. He had all these cool wacky wierd looking knifes, that he made. He kindly gave us each a knife, and told us "now you know that Juan Carlos is the coolest Grandpa in all of Las Varillas.".

The Light incident
On Saturday we had to clean the church, we arrived a little early, so we decided to pass the time by playing indoor tennis. We took everything off the walls, and we hid all the breakable items. When we started playing, the score was back and forth the entire time. Until Fuller got the opportunity to spike the tennis ball really hard, so he did. The tennis ball flew and hit a light, and shattered it...  my comp does a ninja role to get out of the way from the falling glass. Our friend David was dumbstruck, shoked! He then started laughing and said in his very Broken imperfect English "Well... there goes the light.".
We then tried fixing it, which turned it into an even bigger problem, David accidently pulled out the wires from the light, and my comp Elder Barrientos almost gets electrocuted. I was sitting there shoked knowing that I would have to pay for the damage. Luckily Dabod told me that they were waiting someone to break the light, because the lights that the church has are illegal, and that they needed to get them changed. He told me I was doing a favor for the Church and that the church will pay for it.

Spiritual thought
Helaman 5:12
12: And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

Thank you so much for reading my email. I wish you all the best of luck. If you want to send me an email please do. I love you all
