Rodrigos Bap'd
ow are we all doing? I hope your all doing good. This week was a good one. So let's hop into it
Baptism of Rodrigo
This week we had the opportunity to baptize Rodrigo. He's was in teaching for a couple weeks. He would have gotten baptized sooner, but he had a problem with cigarettes. His story is very cool, and interesting.
A long time ago, Rodrigo came to church out of the blue. He was taught by my last companion Elder Jacobs, and the last missionary that was here. Elder Reano. When they taught him about Joseph Smith, he yelled and called our church a satanic church. So... the Elders stopped teaching him.
A couple weeks ago, he showed up to church again out if the blue. He told us he read the Book of Mormon and wanted to get baptized.
His next goal is the Temple, that's his biggest desire!
Get Dunked on!!
Here comes more Basketball. We are playing a lot of basketball this past weeks, and it's all been a blast. And I have lowkey been popping off.
Every Wednesday night, we have basketball at the church, and it's open invite. Its probly 2 members and 20 non members. It gets very Hype, in every play, especially when the Gringos have the ball. They call me Cooper flagg and they go crazy whenever I do something. (They're still trying to find one for my comp)
One play I got a fast break layup, and I felt like I could dunk it, so I jumped and dunked it. I was really hyped knowing I still got my bounce. So I tried it again, but this time on someone's head. I was so hyped!!!!
Sadly No one got it on camera...
Spiritual Thought
2 Nephi 32:3
3: Angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore, they speak the words of Christ. Wherefore, I said unto you, feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do.
Thanks for reading the email, we are about to ball up for zone Pday. Maybe I will dunk again. I hope you all have a great week, and an awesome Monday!
