Friends at Church

This week we were so close to having friends at church. Sadly we didnt get one... but we were close. We had a couple of friends progressing here in Villa Nueva.
Our friend Rodrigo sadly didn't go to church. We texted him afterwards asking why he wasn't able to make it and that we missed him. He told us that he was at church. We continued to ask him where he sat, because we did not see him anywhere. He then went on to explain that he was waiting outside the church for 15 minutes.
We then continued to ask him why he didn't enter. He then said "I did not see anyone in the hallways while I was standing outside, so I thought that it was already over so I didn't enter. Plus my phone broke so I couldn't text you guys about that I arrived."
We were absolutly in shock, because the doors were wide open, there were kids screaming the entire time during the reunion in the hallway, and a ton of cars parked outside. The best part is he somehow texted us right when the reunion was over... what a broken phone.
It's chill though! We happy because he promised he would go next week!
The Joy of the Gospel of Christ
This week my testimony of the joy that comes from following Christ has grown! All thanks to our friend Angela!
Angela is a 75 year old grandma with really bad depression. She has had depression for about 10 years, ever since her husband died. She jas been looking for a way out ever since. She also told us there has been many times where she tried to end her life. She also said that she can't even smile anymore because of how sad she is. A lot of pain for a 75 year old.
We met her by knocking her house at 8:30pm. It was freezing cold, raining and it was the last house we knocked before going home. She answered and we talked for about 15 minutes out in the freezing cold. Somehow she wasn't even wearing a jacket. She told her life story and it was really sad to hear somebody go through all that she went through. She did tell us she wanted us to return. So we gave her a Book of Mormon and invited her to read it.
The next day she seemed different. We taught her the Gospel of Christ. She promised she would start praying and living like christ did. Overtime we kept passing and teaching her, more and more about Christ, she even accepted a date to get baptized! In the end I could see her sadness change to happiness. Her smile got bigger and bigger every lesson! She was feeling the joy that came from living the gospel of Christ!
Sadly she couldnt make it to church because she was sick, and went to the hospital.
Spiritual Thought
Hebrews 10:12-14
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
