We Made it Out the Slums
Good morning, good evening, and good night! I hope you all are doing well. How was your week? What miracles did you see? Well those are some great questions! Let me see if i can answer them.
Bishop gonna take us out the Slums
The biggest miracle happend on Sunday! The stake president and his counselors showed up to see how the ward was doing. A couple days back he sent a text asking the ward to fast for a new bishop. Turns out that he came to our ward to call a new bishop! So now ward General peace has a bishop! We are going to see lots of success now
The entire time I have been in this area there has not been a bishop. There was a lot of thanks giving on Sunday. Everybody was thanking us and the leaders for helping the ward stay strong and keeping it going threw the months!
It was awesome seeing all the Joy and happiness all the members had knowing that they finally have a new bishop!
Leadership Conference
This week I got to travel to Córdoba again for a leadership Conference. Our focus this conference was how can we help the missionarys get 1% better every day in these 6 aspects.
1. Cleaning the inner cup - repentance
2. Weekly Coordination meeting
3. Pray to have the gift of charity
4. Pray for the members so that they can give us references
5. Work with the leaders and the members
6. Having an eye of Faith and using the Book Of Mormon.
Basically our mission is focusing on those 6 invitations. We talked a lot about different things that we can do to help them, there was a lot of different ideas exchanged. I learned a ton of new things, and applying them has really helped us.
The best part about this conference was Pte Rhea told us what his goal was, and why he was doing what he was doing. For the backstory, Pte Rhea has changed a lot of thongs when he got here, and has taught us a ton of principles that have been going towards a lot of different directions. All the ZLs had the question, what is the focus of the mission? It was hard sometimes to teach the zone, because we didn't know where Pte was going with all these changes.
Pte Rhea said that "Ive been an institute and seminary teacher for the past 21 years. Ive taught more than 10,000 students over those 21 years. Gospel revealed to me that in the next couple months I need to teach you guys How To Teach.".
When we all heard this, we were getting hyped! He also said that his goal is that his last month in the mission he wants the average baptism count to be 300 every month. If we baptize 1% more every month we will reach it by June of 2028.
Sadly I won't be here to see that goal reached. He also blocked facebook and messenger. All the hermanas were shocked when they heard it. So if you want to send me a text your going to have to do it by email.
Friends
We have some friends that have a baptismal date for this weekend. Its a family. They are named Stephanie and Máximo! I hope they can keep progressing towards baptism.
