Baptisms to Alcohol

Image
WE LOVE SUPER SUPPORTIVE PARENTS!!!! Especially when they celebrate a Baptism by drinking and smoking there lives away. Your problably super confused. Well if you are all I can say is, WELCOME TO ARGENTINA!!!!! So let's get in to the Baps and booze, shall we. It all started super well, we baptized our Friend Francisco. He is 10 years old, and really wants to be a light in other people's lifes. The crazy part is, he is already talking about when he will leave for his mission. The baptism went smoothly. I dunked him no problem. (Held him under a bit longer so that he can really get cleaned) His whole family showed up to watch him. In the end they were all crying, everyone of them. They went and threw a massive Asado by the river. Sadly we didn't get invited. Sunday roles around, and for some reason they didn't show up to church. We were a but confused, they said that they will go sí o sí. After church, we walked to the bus stop, on the way we saw them. THEY WERE IN A BAR,...

The Power of the Preisthood

Buen día, Hermanos y Hermanas. Esta semana fue excelente. A lot of fun things happened This week. Honestly it went by pretty fast. Everyday goes by faster and faster. I feel like I got here yesterday. We have a baptism date. We put a baptismal date on our boy Francisco Perez. He is planning on getting baped this week on the 18th. Francisco is an amazing kid. Lets just say it was a little rough at the start. His parents were a bit wild, their life was a mess. Luckily the gospel turned it around. They went from calling us liars and spitting on us, to wanting to get baptized. Sadly the parents can't get baptized yet. They have to stop smoking (stop it, get some help) and they have to get married. I asked them last week if they wanted to get married. They said that even though they been together for 2 years, and have 3 kids, they dont think they are ready. 🤦Literally the biggest facepalm moment in my life🤦. I told them clearly if you don't want to get married you are clearly with...

Falling Apart

Good morning, good afternoon, good night. Depending on when your reading this. I started saying this new word. I included it in my email last week. The word is Fetch. AND I CANT STOP SAYING IT. Im not that concerned though. Every missionary uses it, even the Hermanas.  This Pday came super fast, probly because my last one was in Wednesday. But I'm stoked for this Pday. WE ACTUALLY HAVE SOMETHING PLANNED!!! Our plan is to go to Cosquin, go shopping, and play soccer. I'm super excited. There's just one problem, I am complete buns at soccer. If you have any tips, please let me know. It's also about time for a haircut. These wonderful 4 days of work were super chill, At least in Bialet Massé. Meanwhile in Cosquin. Our leadership in our branch is falling apart. It's like a bomb went off. It got so bad to the point the first counselor to the mission president showed up to help. I have no clue what's happening, but every member that is a leader in our group, they are n...

Woot Woot 2025!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy new year my Ninjas. Starting 2025 off with a Pday. Any big plans you ask??? Nope. Absolutly nothing. We loving this holiday Mission life. Anyways, how were the partys???? This past week my comp got sick😕. It happened to be with the same exact thing that I had, a while ago. The double headed Dragon strikes again. Glad it wasn't me. It started off with me hearing a lot of loud noises in the bathroom, at 1:30. I went downstairs and saw some strange liquid all over the floor. I turned on the light to get a better view. Turns out it was throwup. ALL OVER THE FETCHING FLOOR. I immediately wanted no part of this mess. I ran back to my room and hopped in my bed. I got the feeling in bed to go check on him to see if he is OK. I dragged myself back out of bed, down the stairs, and parkoured my way to the bathroom door. (Literally jumping from Chair to chair) He was going threw something. It was rough hearing the things I heard. I decided to be a good Samaritan and clean up his mess. I...
